Hoo wee! Care for another signal that the Austin real estate market is getting...um, interesting?
As an Austin realtor, I get gobs of junk e-mail from other agents in town trying to peddle their listings. But this one raised a few eyebrows here at the LivingInAustin.com offices.
If you're willing to buy the townhouse pictured above, the sellers are offering to send you on a 7-day trip to a beach resort in Mexico. Sound nice?

Oh, but airfare and meals are not included. Yeah. So just buy this $270K home, then purchase your own airline tickets and scrape up more cash to feed yourself and get around Playa del Carmen, and you'll be all set.
Don't everybody rush to the phone at once to call me about this screaming bargain. Pace yourselves.
By the way, for those at home keeping score, this particular listing includes at least two of the "6 Signs of a Desperate Home Seller," which is a list that I regularly feature in my home buyer seminars at Austin Community College.
These sorts of strange offers, which reek of cheesiness and desperation, will continue for quite a while here in Austin. We're just getting started, folks.
